With the help of women around the world we can improve care and support for women with Parkinson’s disease

What are we investigating with this study?

With this study, we explore several different aspects related to pregnancy in women with Parkinson’s disease, including:

  • The impact of pregnancy on parkinson symptoms and disease progression;
  • The impact of Parkinson’s disease on pregnant women throughout and after pregnancy;
  • Maternal and infant health during and after pregnancy;
  • Childhood development after pregnancy.

Questionaires

This study consists of a series of questionnaires that can be answered online from home. You can enroll from the moment you know you are pregnant, up to eight weeks post-partum. Depending on the moment you sign up, you will receive a minimum of five and a maximum of eight questionnaires between the moment you sign up until 24 months post-partum. Each questionnaire will take about 30 to 60 minutes to complete.

What happens to the answers given?

The questionnaires will be analyzed by a team of researchers and results will be published in scientific articles. Yearly updates about study progress will be posted on our website. It is our goal to use our study results for the development of guidelines on treatment and support for pregnant women with PD.
